The workshop was designed and realised by Eylem Ertürk on 10 June 2026 in the Diasporic Dreaming Seminar (Noit Banai and Murat Ateș) at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Austria.
Shared Walks for Urban Dreaming tackles the city as a dream landscape to reveal layers of the urban unconscious through walking, experimenting, and imagining together. Walking dream paths is a way of addressing both the internal and external terrains in different ways by following walking prompts and dream questions. Participants walk together in pairs with the guidance of walking cards that propose minor changes to the way we usually walk, collecting and sharing observations, thoughts, feelings, memories, stories, dreams… The experimental approach to urban unconscious weighs both the participants’ embodied experience and the collected and created materials, forming an urban dream landscape through the participants’ imagination.
